Dr. Filipovic-Jewell is a New York City, Midtown-based psychiatrist working with adult individuals experiencing wide range of

psyc​hiatric problems utilizing psychotherapy alone, or in combination with the medication management when necessary.

Dr. Filipovic-Jewell is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai, where she teaches students, residents, and fellows.

As dually certified in both General Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine, she has a special expertise in treating patients with complicated medical issues, regimens, medication side effects, treating women in perinatal period, substance abuse, and eating disorders, among other issues patients may have.

Dr. Filipovic-Jewell participates in numerous psychiatric associations, and has published articles in various psychiatric journals.

I attended Medical School at the University of Belgrade, completed my residency training in General Psychiatry at Maimonides Medical Center, where I was also appointed as Chief Resident.

Thereafter, I continued my training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine's Fellowship Program in Psychosomatic Medicine.  I work there as an Attending Psychiatrist, treating patients with both medical and psychiatric disorders.

In my practice, I utilize highly effective CBT therapy. I have received training in CBT from the Beck Institute, right from the source.

I am trained in psychoanalysis by NYU's Institute for Psychoanalytic Education.

I am board certified in both General Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine.

 

EVIDENCE BASED CARE

I am conveniently located in Midtown Manhattan, between Times Square and Grand Central, and easily accessible by public transportation. The building  is wheelchair accessible.

My office is both comfortable and modern.

At Mount Sinai, I conduct research and teach medical students, residents and fellows on various topics in psychiatry. I draw upon this experience to offer outstanding, evidence based treatment to my patients.
